Lactation Consultants of Great Britain (LCGB) is delighted to invite nominations for the 2026 Award for Outstanding Contribution to Breastfeeding and Human Milk, which will be presented during the LCGB Online Conference – Practice, People, Partnership on 5 November 2026.
The award was introduced by LCGB in 2015 to celebrate and highlight the impact of IBCLC lactation consultants and their contribution to supporting breastfeeding in the UK. With this year’s award, we continue to recognise IBCLCs who have made a meaningful and lasting impact supporting breastfeeding families through their dedication, leadership, innovation, advocacy, education or clinical practice. The promotion of lactation is one of LCGB’s ‘Four Cornerstones’, and our work is to protect and support breastfeeding in order to improve the health and wellbeing of families across the country through advocacy and by providing expert breastfeeding care.
In keeping with this year's conference theme, Practice, People, Partnership, we welcome nominations that celebrate an IBCLC’s collaboration and excellence across the infant feeding community. Nominations are encouraged for IBCLCs who work in all areas of lactation care.
